Join Michael Christian Durrant as he returns to Winchester Cathedral for a very special and highly anticipated concert performance on Saturday 23rdSeptember 2017. Entitled Guitarra, el Corazón de Espana (Guitar, the Heart of Spain), this fascinating programme will see Durrant joined by the flamenco guitarist Samuel Moore and the Winchester Cathedral Chamber Choir directed by George Castle in what promises to be an unforgettable evening.
Drawing inspiration from the rich artistic heritage and passionate musical traditions of Spain, this special programme includes a performance of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s evocative setting of Federico García Lorca’s Romancero Gitano, Op. 152 for guitar and choir alongside a series of solo and duet performances by Durrant and Moore.
